They are checking batteries, connections, and operation to ensure that they function correctly. If you hear the siren sound for short periods; it is because of the maintenance.

This would be a good time to begin preparing for potential overnight freezes by covering or dripping outside faucets, bringing indoors any fragile plants or covering them, and moving pets inside. Wear warm outer clothing when outdoors and dress in layers. Avoid prolonged periods of cold exposure to skin. Watch out for our senior adults and children during these colder days.
As a reminder Natalia City Hall will be closed on Monday January 15, 2024 for MLK Day.

CITY OF NATALIA ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY AN AMOUNT OF $44,105 OR 11.95% INCREASE FROM LAST YEAR’S BUDGET, AND OF THAT AMOUNT $11,608 IS TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR.
